Galore Resources Dos Santos project is located in the historic Concepcíon del Oro gold mining district of northern Zacatecas State, Mexico. The Company’s 15,000+ hectare Dos Santos claims adjoin Goldcorp’s Camino Rojo gold discovery and are located approximately 35 kilometres southeast of Goldcorp’s Peñasquito mine project.
Galore Drill Program
The La Palma target is a 160-hectare chargeability anomaly. The total program consisted of 12 drill holes, which are spaced from 280 to 860 metres apart and were designed to test locations within and outside the anomaly, outlined on La Palma in July 2010.
Please see map of drill targets below:
There is evidence of small scale gold mining on the property dating back to 1849. The Company intends to continue to carry out extensive Induced Polarization (IP) and Magnetometer surveys as well as to initiate a diamond drill program on key identified target areas. The Company recently outlined a coincident charge-ability and magnetic anomaly over 160 hectares that will be tested by diamond drilling.
The property is located in the transverse range of the Sierra Madre Oriental. The exploration targets on the property are precious metal-bearing skarns, manto and chimney deposits and distal disseminated gold deposits associated with late Cretaceous and early Tertiary granitic intrusions into Jurassic to Cretaceous carbonates. The potential exists on the property, for both open-pit and underground deposits of gold mineralization, associated with base metals.
The Dos Santos project comprises four groups of mineral claims which cover an area of 15,000+ hectares. All claims were acquired by option to earn 100% or by staking.
