Strategy

The geology of the property shows a long history of deformation, alteration, and several episodes of mineralization related to Mesozoic and Cenozoic intrusions. Of particular interest to Galore are the copper-gold, copper-molybdenum porphyry and epithermal-style precious metals vein systems and alteration zones which occur on the property and have been inadequately explored. The major porphyry deposits near the field area include Poison Mountain (BC Mineral Inventory File Number: MINFILE 092O 046), Taseko (Empress) (MINFILE 092O 033), Prosperity (Fish Lake) (MINFILE 092O 041), and Chita (MINFILE 092O 049).

The terrain in the vicinity of the property may preserve spatially linked magmatic hydrothermal systems such as copper-gold-molybdenum porphyry systems at lower elevations and high-sulfidation gold-silver vein systems at higher elevations. Talus slopes cover much of the high ground with transported material. Side slopes are forest covered and valley bottoms are covered by sediments. This has hindered exploration in the past and left the property incompletely explored.

Galore Resources has consolidated previously fragmented mineral tenures and intends to use a systematic approach to explore its large land holdings by airborne geophysical surveys where applicable. In addition to geophysical surveys, the compilation of exploration data from all known sources will help to effectively focus further work. Scientific studies of the deposit types are ongoing and will help develop models of mineralization on several exploration targets covered by the Taseko Project.
